At my job at Shaarei Shomayim, we regularly hosted community events — from special programs to guest speakers — for audiences of all ages, including kids, adults, and seniors. We wanted to increase attendance at these events, so the posters needed to be eye-catching, easy to read, and easy to follow, while effectively communicating the energy and atmosphere of each event.
My goal was to design posters that not only conveyed essential event information clearly but also attracted more people to attend by visually expressing the unique vibe and feel of each occasion.
For each event, I took time to understand the topic, audience, and emotional tone we wanted to evoke — whether it was excitement, curiosity, or warmth. I then created customized designs using layout, color, and imagery choices that reflected that mood while keeping the information clear and accessible.
The new posters successfully grabbed attention and boosted engagement. We saw a noticeable increase in attendance, more sign-ups, and many attendees shared that they saw the flyers and were excited to attend. The designs also helped foster greater community interest and repeat participation in future events.
